LIFELINE FOR VETS

The National Veterans Foundation’s (NVF) Lifeline for Vets helps veterans of all eras, their family members and active duty service members, some while serving overseas in combat deployments. The Lifeline for Vets assists veterans with needs including medical treatment, PTSD counseling, VA benefits advocacy, food, shelter, employment, training, legal aid, suicide intervention and more.

Suicide is a critical public health issue in Idaho. It brings tragic loss to families, friends, schools and entire communities across the state each year. Idaho continually ranks among the top 10 states for the highest number of suicide deaths per capita. The Suicide Prevention Program encourages the use of evidence-based programs and practices and seeks to coordinate prevention efforts across the state to create the first truly comprehensive approaches to suicide prevention in Idaho.
